Glem endelig ikke at se The 90th Academy Awards Oscar show søndag d. 4 marts. Se alle de Oscar nominerede her!

Translation:

Now it is time for the monthly post about what to do to in NYC this March. The first spring month of the year, where the temperature is rising, and the streets will be full of life. Here are some ideas for what you can do this month.

David Bowie Is, is an exhibition which I really would like to experience. It is an exhibition, which includes more than 400 objects from the pop icon David Bowie’s life. Everything from costumes, lyric notes to performance videos. The exhibition has already been a big attraction at The Museum of Contemporary Art, in Chicago, and has set records in ticket sales. Now it is coming to NYC and this is an exhibition, which I cannot miss out on. Therefore, I have to stop by the Brooklyn Museum, where the exhibition takes place. Maybe a nice Sunday activity? The Brooklyn Museum is located just off Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I think a walk in the park after the museum visit, could make the day even better. The exhibition starts today March 2nd until 15th of July.

Another good spring activity is to visit The Rockefeller Center and enjoy the view from the 70 floor, where the three observation decks are located. Here is a 360 degree view of Manhattan. I can promise you that it is a beautiful sight, because I have been up there several times. The times I have been on Top of the Rock, I have really got the feeling of being small and a part of something larger. When I walk on the streets of New York I do not quite understand how big the city really is, but when I see it in the bird’s eye view, it is a completely different case. It is the craziest sight! The advantage of visiting the Rockefeller instead of the Empire State Building is that you get a great view of  the Empire State Building. It is just so iconic to have The Empire State Building on your photographs. Besides, it is nice to do this in the early spring, when the city is not hot and humid yet.

Do not forget to watch The 90th Academy Awards Oscar show Sunday March 4th. I always love to watch, the movie stars strutting down the red carpet in gorgeous robes. So much glitter and glam in one evening – I love it! Watch it on ABC from 6.30 p.m. (Eastern time). Get the popcorn ready and watch from your apartment or maybe hotel room. Another option is to watch the show at a cozy bar in NYC. There are quite a few bars around New York, which hosts so called viewing parties. Take a look at these bars: Extra Virgin, Sweet and Vicious or visit Nitehawk Cinema, which that night has a photobooth and give a prize for the evening’s best dressed. See all the Oscar nominees here!

Of course I must not forget The National Women’s History Month, which kicks off this month of March. The US Congress declared, in 1987, the month of March for National Women’s History Month, to honor the extraordinary results that American women have achieved. It is definitely something I, as a woman, would like to celebrate. There are quite a few events, which take place in March in New York. For example you can take a tour at The Met, to look at female artists’ art, or drop by Wall Street, to see the little bronze girl statue, called the fearless girl, designed by Christian Visbal. See many other women’s History Month events right here!
